Steak and Potato Nacho’s

My family loves it when I make philly cheese steaks! I always serve these awesome sandwiches with steak fry’s. That being said, I like to try to make different stuff so things don’t get boring. This is how the steak and potato nacho was created. I simply took all of the cheese steak ingredients and piled them on top of the fry’s for a new take on one of our old favorites.

Ingredients:

Thin steak, cut into strips                                                                        Bell Pepper, any variety, cut into strips                  Onion, sliced thin                                                                                     Mushrooms, sliced                                                    Shredded Colby-Jack cheese                                                                  2 green onions, sliced                                             Steak Fry’s

Salt, Pepper, and any other seasoning you like to taste. I like to make a marinade of olive oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, onion powder and a touch of chili powder. Start by baking your steak fry’s. These take a little longer to cook than everything else. Once those are in the oven, you can start cooking everything else.

I used my electric grill to cook the steak. Saute the veggies in a little olive oil combined with a little butter, about a tablespoon. I do each of my veggies individually, but you can certainly cook the all together. Cook the Veggies until they reach the desired crunchiness. for you. We prefer ours with just a little bit of crunch left to them. Once everything is finished cooking, start assembly. Lay down a base of your steak fry’s, then add the meat and veggies. To finish sprinkle with a little cheese. You may need to microwave each plate for maybe 30 seconds just to melt the cheese. Sprinkle on the sliced green onion and your ready to rock. I like to serve these with a nice simple salad.
